Slowly, the "what-should-be" in the present is erased The future is fading in the alleys of the soul Past haunts with all its power Though the flesh is weak The Spirit is mighty And it holds to the promise of tomorrow It waits patiently for the wisdom the truth brings Until all that's left is sorrow Sorrow that will bring you to your knees Knees bruised and calloused from the journey In search of the everlasting true.

From preparing for Malaysia to going there and even when we got there, it wasn't all a smooth ride. There were more bumps on the road than things to encourage & inspire us. We got bruised, mugged, sick, even some dislocated bones. But we persist because we believed that this was for us. The night before the competition was our lowest point. We were exhausted. Too exhausted maybe to even give a good performance the next day. Some of us even got sick that night, while others are still feeling under the weather. Everybody went to bed feeling down & empty. When everybody was asleep I chose to stay up for a while and read the Bible and pray. This was the verse I read that night & i got goosebumps from reading it because every little thing fits perfectly in our situation! This was what God said and it's exactly what we needed to hear! The next day, competition day, we registered late & we didn't get to play our blockings on the floor. Talk about a good start! When the competition was about to start, we stayed outside & I shared this verse to everybody but I couldn't get myself to reading it & not cry so I asked 'em read it. It turned into a moment of praying, worshipping & really connecting with God. After all, He's the reason why we pursued this competition. Everything was great after that. We made new friends. They're more like new family to us. Plus the fact that we bagged the gold! Woot! God is really great! No matter how long I make this blog it wouldn't even give justice to happend there. To Team Vibe, let's continue this race, this battle. We are, after all, athletes of the living God! ISAIAH 41:1-14 The Helper of Israel 1 "Be silent before me, you islands! Let the nations renew their strength! Let them come forward and speak; let us meet together at the place of judgment. 2 "Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service [a]? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. 3 He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before. 4 Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD—with the first of them and with the last—I am he." 5 The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward; 6 they help each other and say to their companions, "Be strong!" 7 The metal worker encourages the goldsmith, and the one who smooths with the hammer spurs on the one who strikes the anvil. One says of the welding, "It is good." The other nails down the idol so it will not topple. 8 "But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, 9 I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 11 "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. 12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. 13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. 14 Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Our exhibit venue will be on the fourth floor of Walter Mart Pasong Tamo (in front of Don Bosco Makati) – right in front of Abenson.
The digital pieces of art that would be featured are guided by the substance of Pinoy Steampunk - a combination of the daily sights we see, our heritage, along with contemporary Pinoy culture – but added with an exhilarating dash of our own brand of steampunk.
Marvel as our works blend disparate elements together into something else that promises to be new to the eyes.
We hope for your presence during our exhibit – it would be a pleasure for us.
Best Regards,
The Tabolata Group

i can't remember where i got this story but i like it...pls read. :D
-----------------------------------------------
Do not miss any line from this...............
Sometimes we get what we need and not what we want..........
Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods.
They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday, I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems and be decorated with intricate carvings. Everyone would see my beauty."
The second tree said, "Someday, I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of other world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."
Finally, the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time, and people will always remember me."
After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. One came to the first tree and said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter," and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest. At the second tree, one of the other woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree. I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The a second tree was happy, because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened, because it knew that, if it was cut down, its dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree, so I'll take this one," and he cut it down.
When the first tree arrived at the carpenter's, he was made into a feed box for animals, placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.
The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. Thethird tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark.
The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams. Then onfiltered day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth, and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.
Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose, and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe.
The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace," and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.
Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets, and the crowd mocked the man who was carrying it.
Finally, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.
The moral of this story is that, when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.
Keep it moving...pass it on, so it could inspire more people.
Sometimes the heart sees what the eyes can't.

i was gonna try and write something here but i can't seem to put into words my experiences. i've been quite busy last month and this month started with an out-of-town thingy. we went to los baños to perform at the convergence of the churches in the southern luzon area. we had ablast! i was really reminded that being on stage is not merely performing but that it is a battle to fight.
during out first dance, i messed up from the 2nd 8 of the 1st verse but i got the chorus right. the stage was sooooo slippery that twas so hard to dance. i felt really bad messing up the dance cos i know that i knew the choreography and all but still i messed it up. then ina, a sister close to my heart not just my dancing buddy, reminded me that it's not about me. it's not about the dance. it's not about being a great dancer and messing up on stage.
i was there not just to perform but to fight. i was being attacked by the enemy. i was so disappointed and annoyed at myself for messing up the dance (and this ain't the 1st time i messed up this particular dance mind you) that i forgot why i was there in the first place.
i am not just a dancer, i am a warrior. i am a soldier in the battlefield, in the frontline, on a stage. i am a direct target. remebering that, i was humbled. i am nothing without my God. i do not even measure up to the dust particles in the air without Him. trully, the warrior is a child...hopeless and helpless without my Father. i prayed and ask ina to pray for me, we ended up interceeding for everybody in that convergence and place. it was amazing.
during our second number, i was pumped up and ready for battle. man! it was just amazing! no words can describe it. it is just wonderful to be with God, period. He is just amazing.
Hearing the word at the backstage while waiting for our turn, i was struck by these words one of the speaker said, "Like Esther, she said "If I perish, I perish."" If she perish standing up for her people and obeying God then be it. magmimeet agad sila ni God, hehehe!
so for me, it's "if i dance, I DANCE." i dance for God, i dance with my God. i smile for God, i smile with God. what you see me doing on stage, i do for my God and with Him. i am for Him and with Him. and when i say on stage i not only mean the stage in theaters but on every form of stage that He gives me. for i am in the spotlight, always. what apowerful thing to be on stage and in the spotlight. all the attention is on me so i put all my attention on Him. it's all about Him and not me.
and did u know what happend after? (of course not! hehehe!) the effect on people was breath-taking. God moved...mightly. amazing! and i think the girls there will start wearing tiaras as well! hahaha! astig! i've to upgrade to a crwon now instead of tiaras...daddy melvs said he's gon' buy me one when he goes to divi...yey! hehehe!
"You found me even before I knew I was lost
And now that I am in your arms I am affirmed
I am alive, I am dancing, I am free!
I am your princess."
